Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice describes what Whitfield County Busted Mugshots receives through ordinary use, how the information is used, and when it may be shared. The notice covers the search widgets, messages sent to the operator, routine technical logs, cookies, analytics, and links to outside services.

Information You Enter

Search terms

A first name, last name, and state entered into a search widget are sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Whitfield County Busted Mugshots does not keep or log those search terms on its own servers through the page code. The provider's privacy notice and terms govern what happens after submission.

Messages

If an email or contact message is sent, the message and contact details are retained as needed to read, answer, and maintain the correspondence. Those messages are not shared outside the operating organization unless disclosure is required by law or a valid legal process.

Routine Technical Data

Like most public web pages, the service may receive technical details when a browser loads a page.

  • IP address or a related network identifier
  • Browser name, version, and language settings
  • Device type and operating system
  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Referring page, when a browser supplies one
  • Request timestamps and basic error information

Cookies and similar tools

Cookies or similar technologies may help understand page use, remember a setting, support a partner tool, or measure advertising. Browser controls can block or remove cookies. Some page features may work differently when those controls are used.

Why Data Is Used

Information is used for ordinary operation and service measurement.

  • Keep pages available, secure, and reasonably fast.
  • Send search submissions to the selected partner tool.
  • Measure which pages and links help visitors.
  • Find errors, abuse, and technical problems.
  • Display advertising that may reflect general browsing interests.

Outside Links and Services

Pages link to the WCSO Detention Facility and roster, the Whitfield Magistrate Court, GDC, police departments, federal locators, news outlets, and independent search providers. The county sheriff is currently listed as Darren J. Pierce in the sheriff directory. Once a visitor follows a link, that destination's own privacy notice controls its collection and use. Whitfield County Busted Mugshots cannot control an outside office's uptime, record practices, cookies, or data handling.

Advertising partners and analytics providers may observe activity across sites on their own systems to measure or tailor advertising. That tracking is governed by their policies and settings.

Who May Receive Information

Personal information is not sold by the operator as a standalone list. Data may be available to the following parties when their service is used or disclosure is required:

  • Search partners that process a submitted query.
  • Analytics services that measure page use.
  • Advertising networks and their measurement vendors.
  • Law-enforcement or government bodies responding to a valid legal order or other lawful demand.

Security Limits

Reasonable technical and administrative steps are used to protect information. No internet-connected system is completely secure, however, and no promise can be made that a transmission, database, or partner service will be breach-proof.

Visitors Under 18

The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted information, a parent or guardian may request that it be deleted by sending the relevant details to the operator.

Your Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity checks, a person may ask what personal information is held, request correction, request deletion, or object to certain processing. Browser settings can also limit cookies and some tracking. A third-party search provider or government office must receive requests about data held on its own system.

  • Ask for a copy of data held by the operator.
  • Point out inaccurate contact information.
  • Request erasure where retention is not required.
  • Ask to opt out of a processing activity when an opt-out is available.

Changes to This Notice

Privacy practices can change as tools, analytics, advertising, or legal requirements change. An updated version will be posted here with a new effective date or revision note. Continued use after a change means the revised notice applies to later use.
