Whitfield County Busted Mugshots is a private reference, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or pull an official booking record. Send those questions to the agency that owns the record.
Choose the Right Office
The sheriff's jail, a city police department, the courts, and state or federal systems hold different records. WCSO, led by Sheriff Darren J. Pierce according to the current sheriff directory, publishes the address and phone information below. Jail operations run continuously, but the reviewed sources did not publish exact Records/Permits lobby hours. Call before visiting.

Where to Look for Each Record
Use the following handoff when a name, photo, or case is missing from one system.
- For a person shown in current custody, start with WCSO Current Inmates. For a recent event after release, use Recent Arrests or the selected-date Daily Bulletin.
- For a booking sheet or booking photograph, write to WCSO Records with the full name, approximate arrest or booking date, and case or booking number if known. Ask for an electronic copy and a cost estimate.
- For a Dalton police incident report, use the city's Online Services request route. Dalton says to allow two to three business days for a response.
- For Varnell or Tunnel Hill police records, contact the department or city custodian first. Varnell's nonemergency line is 706-694-3141. Tunnel Hill's published WCSO-listed number is 706-673-5535.
- For a court case or disposition, use the Whitfield Magistrate party search and the proper Superior Court route.
- For a sentenced state-corrections record, use GDC Find an Offender. For federal or immigration custody, use the BOP or ICE locator.
How to Send a Records Request
Identify an existing record instead of asking an agency to build a new report. A useful request names the person, date range, arresting or booking agency, and record type. Say whether the request is for the city incident report or the WCSO booking record and photograph. Georgia's Attorney General explains the Open Records Act process and the response framework. WCSO may charge for qualifying work after the first fifteen minutes and may charge copy costs; no separate flat booking-photo fee was published.
For urgent custody confirmation, phone the official office. A reply from this private reference cannot substitute for the agency's current record.
